I had it at 36w and was subsequently diagnosed with gestational diabetes

@Isabel ah really ! Was the hospital ok with you having it at 36 weeks ?

@Leah it was the team at the hospital that requested it after my baby’s stomach was measuring big on a growth scan

I had it at 35weeks almost 36 and got gestational diabetes in last month 🤦‍♀️ It’s placenta rejecting the insulin. Can happen at any time. I had clear urine until then!

Mines booked for when I’m 29+6

I had mine at 29 weeks pregnant and it was horrendous haha

I had 2. One at 25 weeks and was fine and then tummy was measuring big so had to have another at 32 weeks and was then diagnosed with gestational diabetes

@Vicci I haven’t had a scan since my 20’weeks scan and then having another at 32 it seems like so far apart . Is this right ?

@Leah It can be, yeah. If everything is OK with you and baby then it can be a while. Sometimes there's a 20 wk scan and that's it! I had a few complications so was seen more regularly x

@Leah yep! NHS only give a 12 and 20 week now, unless complications then you’re seen more. I only ever had 2 on the NHS the rest I paid for private. My bank hated me but my brain loved me for the reassurance checks 😂😂

They can test whenever - some people get regularly tested up until they give birth if there’s indicators. No time limit on it

I had 1 at 28 weeks due to measuring large. I’ve had multiple growth scans every 3 weeks and still on the 97th centile I had some glucose in my urine and was told I can’t have the test at 36 weeks where you drink the juice but they did another blood test wich still come back as negative he’s obs just big. I’m 39 weeks on Friday and am booked in for an induction x
