I am on same boat too dear! I am excited to meet my baby but anxiety is not leaving me recently. Trying to calm myself but nothing worked yet. Just wanted to say we are definitely not alone in this and we surely got this!!
Completely normal. I’ve done it before and I’m still anxious. It’s part of the process of getting ready. I really find social media doesn’t help and if I had more self control, I’d stay away from it in the coming days and avoid medical shows. Just try and think lots of positive thoughts and do relaxing things.
@Adele You are so right! Social media is just bringing more stress. I am always reading or finding information , now feel like the more I know the more anxious I am :/
@Naurin feeling this!
Sorry to hear this lovely: it’s completely natural to feel like this! Anytime my head gets into a ‘spin’ (usually about things completely beyond our control!) I just try to say to myself any part of the birth is just a journey and a means to the end result…which are our lovely babes! My first birth was fairly traumatic as far as experiences go, and yet I promise, within a week or so, I was ready to do it all again! Our bodies are incredible and whatever experience you have, it’ll be a mere footnote on our birthing stories. Tips from me: try not to fret about things out of your control (take advice on things we CAN control, like the perineal massage, taking laxatives if needed, whatever else…), and where possible, harness the incredible strength we show throughout the birth to take pride in the fact we are awesome!!! 🩷
