Nanny vs. Daycare

What did you decide? I’m having the hardest time with this decision. For context I work from home mostly. I can afford both but only if nanny is 30ish hours a week and I work 40. I like the idea of having baby home while I work and the one to one care. For daycare I like the social aspect and the flexibility for me. Any advice welcome!

I have a 13 month old and I work remote and my suggestion would be to put your child in a day care. That way you can concentrate on your work and the child learns many things from other kids and ofcourse socialise easily. You can search for home based day care

If you can afford both I would do daycare. I see your in Boston, I would look into Beacon Hill Nursery School or something similar. There are some really amazing schools in Boston

I did nanny for my first and daycare for second. So hard, pros and cons to both. Listen to your gut there is no right answer

@Chrismaldi if you dont mind can you please share from your experience pros and cons for both..

We prefer a nanny for our family so our daughter can learn Spanish and so the nanny can adjust her hours based on my work hours! My job wouldn’t allow me to be guaranteed to be done by 5 pm every day but some days I am done well before that
