My LO was fine
@Amy that's exactly what I thought, to try it and see how she'd react to it. But for some reason I was convinced everything would be fine. I gave it to her into a little omelette but cut it into strips, as finger food. We've been struggling with weaning but she loved it and ate it all. Then she started getting red and having hives around her mouth and itching herself. Not long after she became very sloppy and sleepy which is very unlike her, pale face and lips... I panicked ! Horrible feeling honestly. Luckily no respiratory issues, but we were told to not give her any eggs or anything containing eggs. She's been referred to the allergies department
Gosh how horrible and scary for you! Hope you get seen by the allergy department soon 😫
All three of mine have been fine. My niece got a rash from egg so they cut that out and she’s grown out of it. Your poor baby though, I have a food allergy, not life threatening and it’s so not nice reacting.
Your poor little one! That must have been so scary. My son had a reaction where he come up in hives. We laid off egg for a couple of months but he was able to tolerate baked egg so continued to give that (cakes, muffins etc) and we tried again at 10 months after speaking to the HV and he’s been fine ever since. I was very anxious to try it with my 2nd but she was fine
My wee girl was fine but didn’t particularly like it. We gave her scrambled egg for her first taste of egg and she just played with it after the first bit. We actually gave her it in a cafe which was exactly 2 minutes from the nearest A&E just incase🤣x
I'm so scared because I'm allergic to egg and when I first had it at 6 months I stopped breathing and they almost lost me. I'm going to park in A&E car park when I give it her, and even though I know it's important to introduce it, I'm just so terrified I haven't yet. In what form did you give your LO the egg? I'm so sorry that happened, mustve been so scary for you, glad they're OK now!
