I had almost everything and lost it...

I think the only things we really needed when we brought the baby home were diapers&wipes, some pj's, a bassinet, something to bathe baby in, and a nursing pillow. That's the *very* short list. If you're worried about putting things in the baby's room, well, chances are baby won't be in their own room for a while. ☺️ Nesting will happen eventually, in the meantime, just try to gather the essentials.

I am not ready either I still have to buy a car seat and a place for my baby to sleep in

We live in an apartment and I have twins on the way. It's not really big enough for more people. Don't worry everything will work out

Join your local free group! They usually have Facebook pages where people post stuff. I have gotten a bassinet, a changing table, sheets, and blankets so far. You just have to be quick to respond!

I wish I could tag you, incognito, I've been thinking a lot about you lately. It looks like Shelby beat me to the punch! I joined a moms group in my city on Facebook and you would be surprised how often moms help other moms or give things away. I know, that after this baby, I'm going to do that too! So this is me, and Shelby, telling you to reach out to your local community! Give them a chance to bless you in your time of need 🫂❤️
