Birthday cake
Are we making our 2 year olds their own cakes again for this birthday? My boy’s second birthday party is next weekend and I’m not sure what I’m doing for desserts. My husband thinks we should make him his own small cake again and honestly I’m down I just want to know what everyone’s doing for second birthdays.

After blowing out the candles (his big sister helped), my son opened his mouth wide and made a big "Ahhhh" as he headed straight toward the one and only cake. I quickly pulled the cake out of the way ("NO!!!!") at which point he screamed, cried, and was completely inconsolable, convinced that I would never let him have cake again. He was only relieved after receiving his piece of cake, complete with ice cream, at which point trust was restored. Phew! 🤣
My kiddo is a freak and doesn’t like cake, lol.. so we’re getting him cookies. But we’re also traveling for his birthday & will be in a hotel. Which is tomorrow! I’m so excited!
