Did you ask your OB?

I was told at my 20 week scan that my placenta was on the lower side. I dont think it's much to worry about, they say most of the time it will move up on it's own as your womb grows. I have another scan at 30 and 36 weeks to check if it has moved. I think worst case scenario, a low placenta could cause bleeding or if it doesnt move it can block babys way out and may need a c section x

@Sabrina yes she said it is normal but I honestly didnt feel right about it!

@Amy thank you for your response! I have another ultrasound in 2 weeks a c section wow! I never had one with my boys we will see I pray everything goes well with you and your baby ❤️

I was told I had a low lying placenta at 20 weeks at my anatomy scan. And I was told no sex for ten weeks since it could irritate the placenta, and that I’d have a follow up appointment at week 30 to check if the placenta moved up as it grew (hopefully!). I’m at 28 weeks now and keeping my fingers crossed… I was told the same thing, if it ends up covering the cervix i would need a C-section

@Marianne yes they told me the same thing no smex! And I gotta get a check as well I’m 27 weeks now!

I had a complete previa placenta (my placenta was completely covering my cervix) it moved on its own in about 5 weeks when I returned to my OBGYN

Same! But Doc said it could change and be normal…

@Kassie Ty for this , I have hope!!

I had marginal placenta previa (low lying placenta) at 20 weeks and when they checked back up at 26 weeks all was well, it had moved up into the back of my uterus. For a lot of people it moves out of the way from what I understand

Basically if it doesn’t move you might need a c section and you have to take it easy with exercise and sex
