I don't think so no. I have a miscarriage in June, then just kept testing ovulation, got a peak and BD'd then got pregnant again. I didn't have a period in between x

@Saff thanks did you find it was your regular ovulation dates pre miscarriage?? Mine are around 20th on wards so wanted to make sure I try

@Saff my pregnant tests are still positive you see.. and showing false positive due to hcg levels.. how can i track for next ovulation and possible pregnancy

you need to wait until you get a negative hcg then start tracking ovulation. No, my ovulation was delayed due to the pregnancy. I got a peak about 3 weeks after a negative pregnancy test x

@Saff its confusing as a friend never got a negative pregnancy test but ovulation occurred two weeks post miscarriage and she successfully had that baby.. sometimes people dont want to miss the chance to get pregnant that month.. even though positive pregnancy test. As it can show for weeks upon weeks

They may if you haven’t yet had a negative pregnancy test. If your pregnancy nest is negative then no it shouldn’t.

I didn't know that was a thing. Just test every day for ovulationntjen x

@Ceri-Ann but hers was positive but false positive post miscarriage and she still got pregnant

@Cara thank you so much for your time and effort to explain. Will this also apply to me as I am going to use clear blue smiley tests to see ovulation. I have a scan today 7 days post miscarriage and want to start tracking tomorrow as my bleeding stopped pretty much. I really dont want to lose my hope this month, I want to try.. my ovulation dates are normally end of the month, so wanted to start track either way. The plan is to track as much as possible this remainder of month and post period for next month. l am desperate for a baby and am trying my best whilst my womb and body is ready 🥹♥️

I've never used the clear blue ovulation tests before but i understand they work, it's hard to say how accurate your ovulation test will as it will depend on how much hcg you still have in your system and how much the ovulation test detects. I found using the strip tests easier to track as I could see the changes in the line but I would assume if you did your first test and got a empty circle then later you got a flashy/solid smiley you would assume LH had risen and you were close to ovulation.

Normally I would get my peak between days 16-18 but on this "cycle" was day 24 so almost a week later than normal I'm assuming because my body hadn't realised a new cycle was starting until my hcg from the pregnancy lowered enough. I completely understand your want to try tracking and trying again as the feeling of wanting to be pregnant again are very strong, I felt the same way. I've tried not to put too much pressure on myself this "cycle" because I can't be 100% sure what is happening in my body after everything but I'm hoping that if I'm not pregnant my period arrives on time and I can get back to tracking as normal so I've more chance of success. I hope it all works out for you and you get your rainbow baby soon.

@Cara thank you cara how ever so kind and thoughtful. I wish you the same.. i just want to become a mother as this was my first ever pregnancy, i think it hits different when you have a loss and you have no other children. The excitement levels etc are so high.. and then you go to an extremely low point. I have very minimal support a very far distant relationship with family, no real understanding or care. Just me and my husband and a few friends. I am starting therapy next week to help my emotions. I will also try and go away on a trip over xmas new year ♥️
