Universal Credit & Sure Start Mat Grant.
Hi, we’ve just opened a universal credit claim while I’m on maternity leave. Can I apply for the sure start maternity grant as well or do I have to wait to see if we get any help first?

Aslong as you are getting something from universal credit then you can claim the grant xx

@Holly yeah I’m not sure if I’ll get anything or much. But wondered the fact that we’ve got an open claim if we could do both as we’re technically claiming 🤷🏼♀️

I applied both at the same time, we get hardly anything from universal credit but i got a text today saying i got the grant so you can do both
