Would this look good or bad?

I’m getting married!!! I don’t want a traditional white dress, as my wedding won’t be traditional at all hardly, that being said I settled on a lavender dress. We would get married at the end of a beautiful pier then following the reception would be in an aquarium! There wouldn’t be an actual dressing room at all just bathrooms. I’m worried the lavender dress won’t look good against all the blues of the aquarium! Do I do a second dress for the reception and make it white? Help! Sincerely someone with zero! Fashion sense lmao lol 😂

plenty of people do a change of dress between the ceremony and reception so I think this is a great idea! but I agree that maybe a different color than purple so you don’t blend in with the aquarium colors. If you don’t want to do white try and find a warm tone dress color since the aquarium will be full of cool tones

My best tip is get most of your pictures taken in natural lighting. NOTHING will look good in aquarium lighting in pictures. Wear your lavender dress, you’ll look great!

I think it depends on how you feel. If you LOVE your lavender dress and feel great in it, you'll be sad to change. I like your wedding and reception venues, sounds beautiful!

I wore a pink Maggie Sottero gown, I had my boys already so no need to wear white as far as I was concerned. A few people thought I was nuts, and we got married in the state capitol rose garden. I think in lavender it actually may be a beautiful contrast! And original! How YOU feel in the dress is what will really shine. I’m divorced and I still love my (solo!) wedding photos. No regrets lol if I never do it again I know I did that right.

I'd have to see it to make an informed decision on the look. To me purple and blue together seems kind of like a mermaid vibe, especially at an aquarium, and I'm digging it!

I would go to the aquarium with a lavender shirt and test it in pictures. See if you like it our not. Its your wedding and as long as you like it, I love it for you 💕
