So stressful isnāt it. You always feel youāre the only one but thereās lots of super fussy kids around š mine goes through phases. I just give her the same meals she likes but change it a bit every so often so I donāt know what she has with her fish but if Iām giving mine fish fingers one day Iāll go mashed potato and carrots, next mac and cheese and cucumber with it etc - with no pressure or expectation to eat it but you are exposing them to different foods and mine eventually tries it. Iāve had to play around with different pasta shapes etc - rigatoni is the one! Also I donāt do this at the moment as it doesnāt work for us but try and eat the same meal with them. I also encourage to smell, lick, tiny bite new foods as well and that helps take the fear away a bit. But doesnāt always work - sometimes my little one will say no and just eat the bit she likes and leaves the rest. Hope that helps a bit!
Oh, my LO is the same! He just snacks and barely eats a meal.. every day, his packlunch comes home barely touched š„“. One thing i did when he was really bad with eating was getting a cupcake tray (sounds strange, I know š ), but in each section, I would put finger foods in.. so, like some sliced cheese in one, a few crispy bits in another, apple, ect, literally anything I think he would eat. I then just left it on the table, and he would pick at it throughout the afternoon. I feel like it took the pressure of eating away, and he would actually eat more
