Anyone else's baby not interested in weaning?

My LO turned 6 months on the 14th and I started weaning on that day. However, she seems completely uninterested in food. She doesn't even open her mouth when I bring the spoon towards her, and if I do manage to get some food in her mouth she doesn't seem to enjoy it at all. I've tried BLW as well, but she barely even plays with the food, let alone eats any. Today she literally cried when I tried to give her porridge 😭 I just feel like I'm failing her somehow!

Not failing at all. I felt the same as my little one isn't very interested but they will get there at their own pace ❤️

I've been weaning for the last couple of weeks and for the first 5 days she would look at me like I was on something. Wouldn't open her mouth...nothing. Id actually get quite upset that it wasnt turning out to be how I imagined it. Then I managed to get the tiniest bit on her lips and she licked it, and we've been building from there. Now she will open her mouth the tiniest amount if I'm feeding, but knows exactly what to do when she's doing it herself. Keep going, they do get there! X

Mine isn’t interested either - I’m pausing for another few weeks. Babies develop at different paces so try to be patient (also enjoy the non food poops while they last 😂)
