Mine goes mamamamamamaa when crying I the back of the car when I can't get to her and no other time
My daughter started saying mumu at about 5 months and saying dads at about 6 months so definitely possible

Ahaa, my little girl start doing that around 6months and at the time I just thought it was a random sound she was making, she’s 7months now and it’s definitely ‘moma’ she makes it to get my attention or when someone else is holding her and she wants me! It literally melts me!.. when she first started doing I would repeat it back to her, and because she recognised her own name I’d touch her nose and say her name, then touch mine and say moma! I don’t know if it helped her to understand but it was cute!😂❤️
