I was told that you have to fast but for the last meal before it to eat mostly protein to help prevent nausea

@Apryl I have to fast 12 hrs prior to the 3 hr test

I have mine tomorrow and know I’ve been over indulging in sweets 😩

I failed both my tests back in October. I have to monitor my blood sugar 4 times a day and take insulin in the morning and night. Hopefully you won’t have to do that! But even if you do, remember it’s all for the health of you and baby. :)

@Shontee me too 😅 with my son I was fine but this pregnancy I’ve been craving sweets like crazy I’m nervous 😂

@Laurel same my first pregnancy I was super cautious and careful … this go round I just want that I want 😩

I failed my first one but they didn’t tell me to fast at all. I took the 3 he test yesterday I didn’t eat after midnight and had my test done first thing in the morning they draw your blood 3 times within a hour to see how your body breaks down the sugar. Hoping it’ll be good because the day I actually took the first test I ate all morning and drink a ensure before hours before test, this time I didn’t and my baby was moving like crazy for the 3hr test they give you 100g of sugar instead of 50

I failed the 1 hour test, then passed the 3 hour test. Fasted during the night and did it first thing in the morning. The hospital wouldn't give me the drink until they got the results from the fasting blood draw, so I was there 4 hours total. I brought my kindle but still got stir crazy the last hour. Make sure you bring something to stay entertained.

Well I just failed 2 out of 4 blood draws for the 3 hour test not sure what’s next untill my next appointment they say I have gestational diabetes 😭

@Erin Thank you guys I’m just scared cause what happens if I don’t pass the three hour test

@Emma Then your doctor will talk to you about what to do for your gestational diabetes and that will probably consist of a healthier diet and some exercise and if it’s needed potentially insulin

Ask for the lemon lime one goes down better and doesn't burn going down it's easier to keep down

Same here, failed 1 hr test. I ate some protein breakfast before test but did pass 3 hr test after 10 days. I did control my diet during those 10 days and fasted a night before the 3 hr test. Try to eat healthy and no sugar before the test and be positive.
