I’m thinking the same and would love to hear people’s experiences
Yep, I did that exact thing! My employer didn’t offer a paid MatLeave so I had to scrounge for 3 months, then when I returned to work there was a RTO mandate for 5 days a week when I had currently been working in office 1-2 days a week. So. I save up enough month for 2-3 months of bills and I quit. I gave myself a deadline of 2 months to the date to find a remote job and luckily I did. It was worth it 1,000%. Now I work 100% remote.. at a different company than the previous 2 lol.. but it’s amazing and I put my son down for naps everyday and eat lunch with him too🥰
I work in marketing and work in a big city and finding a part time marketing job is really difficult so I went freelance instead and run my own business. But I'm currently on maternity leave with baby no.2. Good luck
@Lindsay thank you for sharing! Is there anywhere in particular you would recommend looking for a completely remote role (LinkedIn etc)? Also could I ask what industry you work in now?
@Dilara LinkedIn absolutely. But apply on LinkedIn and also on the company website! Make sure your page is aligned with what you’re looking for and you have a nice headshot (can totally be a selfie just not blurry). And I’ve worked remotely in health insurance, medical equipment and currently in legal services.
This is such a great question as I'm planning on doing the same!
