I’m 41+1 and have had some false labor this week, and my midwife said I’m showing all the right signs for labor to start any day now. If I haven’t gone into labor by Thursday, then we’ll discuss interventions to get things going before 42wks. No idea what to expect, though- also a first time mom😅
I’m due the 24th to and wondering the same thing
I'm due the 22nd and it's my second pregnancy. Here's what I wish someone told me the first time: - Contractions can be felt on the top/mid or lower part of your belly - It's most common to feel them in the lower part where you'd feel period cramps and in your back like a bad ache. - Prep/false contractions like Braxton hicks are contractions but they're inconsistent and can be eased by laying down or changing positions. - True labour contractions can be timed and have a pattern that intensifies is discomfort and shortens in durations in-between. - When you're close to giving birth, it actually feels like you need to poop loool (I was literally om the toilet the whole time with my first) - Labour contractions when you're dilating feels like severe gas/period cramps. - The contractions come in waves that you can't miss. You'll feel the discomfort come and get a nice breather in-between. Its always worth calling your midwife or the mat ward with any questions. Wishing you all the best! 🩷🩵
With my first, I had all the signs. Bloody show, diarrhea, contractions and all. With my second, I had no signs whatsoever, my water broke and then the contractions came. I went into labor with both my girls at 38 weeks and 5 days.
Following bc I am so close
