@Amy it’s difficult because my boy wants 3 meals but I can’t fit them in as I’m trying to keep milk the priority. He won’t have either unless he’s hungry and he doesn’t let me know when that is so it’ll all a guessing game atm. Yeah I’ve tried both ways but he will not eat solids if I offer milk first. Thank you for responding x
I get it, my baby also doesn’t tell me, she never cries, doesn’t do queues for being sleepy, hungry etc. The no crying is a blessing everyone says how she’s the happiest baby, but it would come in handy sometimes as I just stick to a routine and hope for the best. Just do what you can, and as I said (easier said than done) but don’t put too much pressure on yourself they’re still so young x
My baby has 1 meal a day then sometimes I give her a wee snack in the afternoons. I wouldn't worry about fitting 3 meals in just now they are still getting used to food, tastes and textures will take time x
I’ve just posted on another post that my baby eats 3 meals a day so I’m not being contradictory here but they don’t need 3 meals a day right now, the aim is to build up to 3 by 12 months. There is PLENTY of time. My baby eats 3 meals but they’re not massive meals and some days she’s not fussed (like today) to eat her lunch, it’s hit and miss. I started by aiming with just breakfast and built it from there. Try picking one meal a day and build on that don’t put too much pressure on yourself, milk is their main source of food before 1 Also, advice is contradictory too I give milk first then food. But NHS says food then milk so I wouldn’t worry about giving solids first My baby never naturally dropped from 5 bottles to 4 - I dropped a bottle because she wasn’t interested in food at all and it worked but I am not planning on dropping to 3 until she’s eating more x
