Iā€™m not sure. I feel like only like easy answer is make less money. But whatā€™s the cut off? I think sometimes it can be really picky and they might think why do you need it if youā€™re making more. Idk thereā€™s probably some sort of form you could fill out

I keep seeing different income guidelines online im getting confused

When you apply for snap they look at your gross income not your net. You may only see 2,400 a month but your gross is probably more. Iā€™ve been denied food stamps for making 3,500 a month as a family of two and I donā€™t even see half of that income

@Juliana right agreed i keep seeing different income guidelines and i think the lady who interviewed me went by net income thank god but I definitely dont even see close to that amount

I dont qualify for a household of 2 but i think i just have to wait until march it would help a household of 3 might work

Im thinking of calling out of work twice this month and reapply because im getting denied because of 200 dollars extra

Yeah thatā€™s just crazy honestly especially because youā€™re pregnant so idk why they denied you. But if I were you I would reapply because that is just insane

Are you telling them your rent amount and all your bills ? Including WiFi and cell phone ? When I applied for emergency stamps I didnā€™t even tell them about my job and got them the next day šŸ¤·šŸ½ā€ā™€ļø

@Grease yes phone bill, wifi, and still no i actually had a letter from employer saying i worked part time yet some how she pulled my last paystubs and caught me in the lie are you working?

You should get snap if your pregnant they continue to give them to these other families with all these kids itā€™s unfair other households need it as well cause it does help I got mine when I got pregnant but our income was barely anything tbh honestly I was surprised when we got em keep praying babygirl

Donā€™t go online go to the office

@Nycole right.. like the lady who interviewed me didnt even want the pregnancy confirmation paperworkā€¦. Idk why meanwhile they let the migrants in and give them all assistance

Exactly my point and if you got her name report her ass cause she not doing her job you should get food stamps especially if food is scarce in the house and your PREGNANT I would advise if you have a food stamp office in your area to kindly visit them cause you still need help regardless and wic wic is a big help as well I can try and give any advice I know of cause ik how hard it is Iā€™m just now getting job šŸ’”itā€™s been tough so try going up there idk if you have and also she needs to lose her job

@Nycole right agreed !

This seems to be an ongoing thing. You have to be making little to nothing to get any of these benefits even being pregnant. The social worker at my Dr. office told me to apply to wic and I was about to be denied until I physically showed them that my last check was less than $100 for two weeks and that my job put me out. Then the lady said she was only approving me until January (Iā€™m due in January) and Iā€™d have to reapply proving I have no income. I donā€™t understand why itā€™s so hard to get the services needed.
