How long are you taking off for maternity?

I’m taking the full 12 months! initially I wasn’t going to because it’s soo long but I already have a toddler so I think it makes sense to have as much off because when else do you get that chance! I literally work so much so need this time off with my babies ✨💙💕 How long have you booked off?

My work assumes I'm taking a year but I plan to go back after 6 months and then use my holiday to work part time for another 4 months. I am very lucky that I get 6 months full pay and it then makes more financial sense for me to return.

I'm taking a year off as no spaces at nursery until jan 2026 but will have lots of holiday so may or may not use that during the last 13 weeks if financially needed

I’ll still be working a bit, I own the company so can’t really take time off. But I won’t be working as much as I did with my first as it hit me a few months later x

I’ve already been off 12 months 😂 my next lot starts 6th January for another 39 weeks 😅

I'm doing 9 months of my actual job and probably only a month or 2 off from my self employed job but that will be max 2 hours a day. Financially makes too much sense for us, especially the money I can make from my self employed job that doesn't affect my mat pay

We’re doing shared parental leave as my husband can get 6 months paid whereas I only get 12 weeks full pay (plus why not! His baby too). I will be off for around 9 months and then be using annual leave to be part time for the rest of the year before I then change to officially part time the following January

I think a year the ideal time if you can afford it. Especially if you have a difficult birth

9 months, 2 months annual leave, 12 week phase back 💜

Taking the full year.....after calculating my budget for that year though. Do what you can afford to do and what's work for you
