Nicknames for Penelope

My coworker has a Penelope and they nicknamed her Pippa.

Our Penelope gets a few different ones - Penny, Nel, Nellie

This was me, i knew we would shorten it but i like how it’s Penelope on paper. Really suits her too

My cousin’s daughter named Penelope goes by Nelli. She’d probably go by Penny if my grandma wasn’t legally named Penny.

One of my bunnies is called Penelope and we called her Penny but then she had Penelope the II and we call her Nellie

I like Penelope with the various nickname options, but one thing I would say is to try and use both the longer name and nickname equally. As an adult I prefer my “formal” name over my childhood nickname but those who have always known me by the latter have struggled/given up adjusting to calling me by my proper name 😌
