Making an extra income as a single mom

So I work 40 hours a week, but the money just isn’t coming in. I’m so over struggling. Anyone in this group have a side hustle or ways to make an extra income?

@Radvile it’s definitely a struggle out here

There lots of AI jobs that are very flexible and well paid

Get a higher paying job

@Ella with a baby due that’s hardly possible, she would be kissing goodbye to any maternity leave entitlement…

I feel you girl! My money has plans before it’s even reached my account 🤪🤣

@Deonie she isn't pregnant and she has a 6yo? What makes you think she's pregnant?

@Ella to be honest getting another job that’s paying more is beneficial. But also may mean working more hours or finding another career. Right now my biggest focus is being there for my daughter more and not struggling while doing so.

@Ella my bad but even still working 40 hours a week with a 6 year old isn’t practical a better paid job would mean more time away and she’s posted in a single moms group would that be practical to a single mom?

I sell things on OfferUp to make some extra money. I made 400$ in a day one time selling old tools I don’t use 😂😂 just make sure if you’re meeting up with someone to sell your item, that it’s in a public place with lots of people around (just to be safe) as a single mom you’re more vulnerable

@Jen I need to do that again

Following

@Deonie but she is ALREADY working 40 hours a week. And no, a better paid job doesn't mean working MORE hours. It means a better hourly rate.

@Courtney it's criminal that with all your qualifications, you aren't making enough to get by while already working full time 😭😭 are you primarily doing the home healthcare? Does that not pay well? Like say if you got a job in a pathology centre, would that pay better? If you get a better hourly rate you can work LESS hours, maybe like 4 days a week. At the very least if you stay on 5 days a week it's the same as you are doing now.

@Ella I am a medical assistant working in an oncology office. I’ve been working there for almost 2 years they raised my pay but honestly it’s still not enough. Going somewhere else I would have to start over. Which isn’t always a bad thing. I’m a certified phlebotomist as well. I’m just trying to do something on top of what I have now. So if I need to take off of miss a day I’m not hurting if I don’t have the PTO if you get what I’m saying. I do eventually want to go back to school for my RN.

I work as a care assistant my husband is a car manic, 🚗 mot tester , I'm not going bk to work even tho iv been doing my job for last 7 years I'm gana be a stay at home mummy :) watch my babies grow up x
