Pregnancy time

Is anyone else confused on how we are pregnant for 40 weeks but they say 9 months but in reality it's almost 10 months if not 10 months? Like I'm already a little over half way to my due date but I still have 5 months. Weird right? Or is it just me?

No me and my fiancé both keep trying to figure out why people say 9 if 40 weeks would be 10. I don’t get it at all 😂

@Yzabella im glad I'm not alone 😅🤣

Because some months have 5 weeks

Yeah no my last pregnancy I was explained that it was on reality 10 months and it’s basically an opinion 😅 it’s super confusing

I was confused about that too, in reality it is almost 10 months🥴

Because they date it back to the first day of your last period not contraception

@Kayla if that's the cause I'd be a month more ahead then what I am. So that's a bit confusing

Maybe because the first four weeks you don’t know if your pregnant or not

@Kacey I knew at week 3 and suspected earlier before then. Just didn't take a pregnancy test until then

I am also confused on this 😅 the week chart says I’m 5 months pregnant but I’m due 5 months from today so I’m so confused

I believe it is because 37 weeks is considered full term so that would make your 9 months

@Mikaela oooooooooooooooi that would make more sense then anything else 😅

Actually every month but Feb has about 4 and a half weeks in it. So once you add it all up, all the leftover half weeks add up to being like an extra month (if you’re doing the math based off a month only having 4 weeks), so when you work it all out, it actually adds up to being 9 months! Trust me, I put a lot of thought into this cause I was confused to the core at first lol 😂

Cause 4 weeks=28 days but a month has 30 or 31 days in it excluding Feb. see what I’m saying? And only 4 months have 30 days. 7 out of the other 8 have 31. So ya. That’s how I worked it out lol.
