Ectopic pregnancy

I think I’m having an ectopic pregnancy. I tested negative on the day of my period but I had pregnancy like symptoms. I tested a few days later and it was still negative however I started getting some spotting so thought it was implantation bleeding. I tested a few days after that I got a faint positive but been having old brow blood for about 5 days now. I tested 10 days after my missed period and now it’s showing positive pregnancy. Is this an ectopic pregnancy? I’ve contacted the GP they have referred me to EPU waiting for them to call. I’m completely stressed and overwhelmed by the situation.

Hey lovely, just sending you a hand hold, the waiting is horrible I know. My symptoms for ectopic pregnancy was intense pain, omg it was horrific. No bleeding for me until later on though. I wish you all the best and hopefully it’s all ok xx

@Sophie thanks for your message. Do you know what your pregnancy testing was like during the ectopic pregnancy?

Sending you love and support. I don't know if it'll help, my symptoms were pain in my lower left side (where the ectopic was) and back pain in my lower back, also loose stool - not quite diarrhea but very loose. Fingers crossed that all is okay for you xx

I never had a period after stopping the pill, only decided to test as we had a date night. The tests got lighter so I knew something was off. My inbox is always open if you want to chat xx

For my ectopic in August, I had brown spotting from 2 days before a positive test, then it continued for a week and turned into red spotting and gradually got heavier and then ruptured at 6weeks. I never had any severe pain, even after the rupture, the dr was amazed. My tests were fairly strong from 6dpo which was obviously a red flag - never as strong as the control line though and seemed to just stay the same throughout. Best of luck x

This sounds similar to the start of my ectopic pregnancy. Sending hugs, I hope things end up okay for you. If it’s any consolation and you’re wanting some hope, I had an ectopic and tube removal in June23 and gave birth to my rainbow in Sept24 xx

This doesn’t sound like my ectopic - however I was 3 days late, took a test and it was faint so then took a digital that said pregnant - I started bleeding that same day but with no pain, I went to my Gp she referred me to EPU (when I saw then a few days later the bleeding had stopped) and I had blood tests 48hrs apart and it showed doubling of HCG and normal pregnancy growth - scan at 5 weeks couldn’t see anything but scan at 6 weeks showed it in my right tube- they took another HCG test and it was doubled again so the best way to deal with it was surgery. I never had any pain and the Drs were shocked , about an hour before I went down for surgery I started bleeding again and they believed I was about to rupture and caught it just in time. You’re doing the right thing going to EPU- I hope you get some answers - please keep us updated xx

I found out I was pregnant around 2 days after my missed period however line was very faint - did a digital which confirmed I was pregnant 1-2 weeks. I started spotting 1 day later, the bleeding progressively got heavier, I presumed this was an MC as I experienced this in the past. 4 weeks later I was still bleeding, went to the doctors who said I should do another test, the test was a strong positive. I then started to get left sided pains only, down my left leg and bottom of my back. Went to the hospital again they admitted me, I had a scan a day later which confirmed left sided ectopic with internal bleeding as the pregnancy had progressed. Emergency surgery the same day to remove my left tube. Xx
