Super common in twin pregnancy it's crazy! I never fully lost consciousness but I absolutely had my vision go completely black and almost passed out a few times right around 12-15 weeks! Every time I hear stories about it it's in the beginning of the second trimester too which is super interesting to me!
Have you checked your iron levels?
@Victoria Yes. No issues with Iron, blood sugar, or blood pressure, and they did an EKG. Apparently it's just because I'm having twins.
@Holly thank you so much, this makes me feel so much better. I'm okay, I'm just stressed about it all which I really need to get a handle on. I just have a 20 month old too and I am afraid that taking care of him is the reason it will happen again, because they said it was because of exertion and he's just over the 25 lb weight limit they gave me before this even happened. I'm also scared I'm going to pass out while I'm alone with him and he's going to somehow get hurt, it's just a lot. I was only out for a few seconds they said, but still.
@Kylee thank you so much, this makes me feel better. I've felt off since it happened, like if I do too much it's going to happen again. I was only out for a few seconds according to my husband but I woke up very confused so I'm pretty sure I fully passed out.
This happened to me too, definitely started in the first trimester but hasn’t happened since around week 18. I wasn’t sure if it was the lights as it often happened in supermarkets and once in the hospital. Also have a 2 year old so same as you cant not look after him. All of my obs were fine too so must be a twin thing! I never felt like it happened at a time I was exerted either, although all the advice was to slow down etc. I’m 31 weeks now and havent had it for ages! Hoepfully it doesn’t happen anymore for you but do know it’s definitely normal! X
@Zoey thank you. Yeah, I didn't feel like I had really exerted myself, so now I'm scared to take a shower without my husband in the room, or drive 🤦🏻♀️ which I can avoid both thank goodness, but it really sucks.
This also happened to me and I am also carrying twins. It started as soon as I hit the 12 week mark, I’m now 24 weeks and it hasn’t happened in the last two weeks. I was told it’s common in twins especially since mine are in seperate sacs and there are two placentas. I would obviously avoid anytime spent on your back and try not to stand for too long. I stopped driving at 12 weeks as a result.
@SM how often was it happening? Mine are also in separate sacs and have separate placentas. I don't lay on my back at all, I haven't been able to since my last pregnancy 🤦🏻♀️ yeah, I'm not driving anymore until I have them, I have also been having my husband in the bathroom with me when I shower 😂
It was happening very randomly, once a week but the dizziness feeling could happen every other day without fully passing out. I did the same with showering but it’s gotten a lot better now! It happened once when I went for my scan and was laying down so I tend to lay on my side when I go for scans
Hi I hope you’re doing okay! I passed out multiple times during my pregnancy and annoyingly was always in public first time at 10 weeks and the last time it happened was about 16/17 weeks and was told it could have been a mixture of increased blood pressure and also dehydration due to morning sickness. I’m now 28 weeks and haven’t had any recently. I would recommend to keep a note of when it happens if it starts to happen more and speak to your midwife/doctor about it xx
