We leave a key and she does it as usual while we're away.
Having a cleaner come while you’re away on a trip the best! You come home to a clean house. I give ours our garage code so they can get in and out without a key.
We have a cleaner, she doesn't have a key, and we skip when we are away. No point cleaning if we are not home making any messes.

I own a cleaning business. I leave it up to the client. We’ve been in business since the 80s and are very reputable so many of my clients trust us to enter without them home and lock up appropriately. Some prefer to cancel altogether since they’ll be gone so the house won’t get that dirty. Others reschedule to a different day before their next regularly scheduled clean. I don’t always have availability to reschedule so sometimes I have to cancel them but if I can move them to a different day I will
My mum is a cleaner and will just go in and clean their house if they’re away and they want her too. Sometimes they use it as an opportunity to ask her to tackle bigger tasks. Otherwise she just goes again when they’re back.
