Help! Weaning lunch box ideas and advice

My little one has been solely on purées from 6-7 months which was simple for the childminder as I would just batch cook them and freeze. He is now 7 and a half months and is now having finger foods like toast/pancakes etc I am worried those will go stale and weird by the time he has them. He is back in 2weeks and I have no idea what to put in his lunchboxes?😅

You can freeze pancakes. I batch cook blueberry pancakes and freeze them. I defrost them and then put them in the toaster as that's how my little girl prefers them

@Ebony yeah that’s a good idea for when I’m home but they are always out and about xx

Mini muffins? I find they last 3 days ish once made

Puff pastry pizza! My little one loves these when out and about

Courgette eggy fingers from What Mummy makes, I batch cook, freeze and just defrost a couple at a time to put in lunch box. I’ve added different things to them as the kids get older including mushrooms, ham and peppers.

I also make sandwiches but my little boy is a little older, maybe from about 9 months xx

@Sarah Does the what mummy makes book have advice on what meals are freezable I might have to purchase the book xx

@Selina yes it does, it’s really good. It also has recipes that you can make for you to eat with your child, they are actually quite yummy.
