Help please positive pregnancy test on ovulation day

Hi We have been ttc second baby for about 8 months and I have been using clear blue advanced ovulation tests for that time. I started testing yesterday for this month and got a peak smiley straight away, which is unusual for me I usually get 4/5 days of flashing first. Thought it was strange. Today I’ve had some pink discharge which again is unusual for me around ovulation. I thought I would just do a pregnancy test just to make sure I wasn’t pregnant and I’ve had two positive tests! Now the strange thing is 2 weeks ago I had a period, a normal, heavy period and we haven’t had sex since i ovulated last month. I’m thinning surly I cannot have conceived prior to that period on last months ovulation. I’m really confused and now scared that this pregnancy is not viable. Has anyone had anything similar?

omg this is soemthing i’ve never heard of before! Interesting… is it possible to get clear blue to double check?

I know I’m in total shock to be honest I did the pregnancy test thinking there’s no way! No way at all! And the lines came up straight away. I can’t even get excited as it literally does not make sense that I’m pregnant ! Also too early for a scan so I’m in limbo! Will deffo go and get a clear blue today xx

This is my chart from the Flo app. So I ovulated in December around the 15th then I had a period about two weeks later and then ive tested again this month for ovulation and this has happened! If its from last month it would mean im like 6 weeks gone already! 👀🫣

I had exactly the same thing happen last year. A full normal period end of June and then a peak smiley straight away early July when normally I have 10+ days of testing before I get a peak. I had started lightly bleeding mid-cycle too which never ever happens to me, and I could feel something in my lower right hand side of my stomach. I spoke to a GP who said to do a pregnancy - and it came up straight away as pregnant. I was so confused as we hadn’t tried that month yet! I went in for scans and they could see a cyst on my ovary and said it’s probably just that which is what you can feel. A few weeks later the pain increased and it ended up being an ectopic pregnancy growing in my right tube which they could see on a scan when it got bigger. Luckily for me it resolved itself and I didn’t need surgery, but I wonder if maybe that’s why I had a period, because the egg wasn’t in my uterus? Anyway - absolutely not trying to scare you as that is probably not the case for you!

Sorry - ran out of characters! But just to say if bleeding continues or you’re in any pain at all then speak to your GP or hospital to get them to give you a scan. Hope you get to the bottom of it and best wishes for a healthy pregnancy xxx

That’s what I thought, whether or not it’s an ectopic :/ sorry you went thought that. Sound very similar to me though . No pains yet so I’m going to have to see how it goes. Might ring dr and get some bloods done maybe. I’ll keep you all posted xx

Hopefully it’s not! But I think given that you have a positive pregnancy test and some bleeding then ring your GP or get in touch with your local EPU if you can, and they should see you to check the hcg levels in your blood across a few days or do a scan. Hope it all goes well ❤️

I would try and get through to your early pregnancy unit as it could well be ectopic unfortunately.

I’ve had an internal examination and they said cervix is closed and they can’t see where the blood would be coming from at the moment. Blood is pinky colour when I wipe not heavy. I’ve got a scan on Thursday to see if it’s viable! X
