How do you work out babies age?

For example 24th July baby turned 24 weeks would this be 6 months or is 26 weeks 6 months?

Following - I’m so glad you asked this question! I have no idea how to work it out x

Me either been an ongoing debate 😂 😩 xxx

After week 14 I just moved on to months. I have 0 clue as to how many weeks she is now. Not the foggiest.

🤣🤣🤣 I fully believed and convinced myself that my girl would’ve turned 6 months on the 5th Jan, turns out as of today she’s only 5 months and 2 weeks old🤦🏼‍♀️🤦🏼‍♀️🤦🏼‍♀️ I do not get it at all, I just go off the huckleberry app now x

You work out your child's age based on the day they were born, so your child will be 6 months on the 24th January

Thanks for insight girls, I was all buzzing thinking my son turned 6 months on Wednesday there but really he’s only 5.5 months 😂 it was all a bit confusing but starting to make sense ❤️ xxxx

Just go by the date they were born and work out the months from that. Then once they have their birthday, count their years. Like how you would describe your own age. I stopped counting the weeks a long time ago and genuinely have no idea how many weeks he is now

I asked the same thing on someone's weaning post. I think im just going yo go by months because if I go by weeks little one is 6 months in 5 days but 6 months in months at the end of jan

24th July here too! I’m going with the 24th January xx

Your baby will be a new month older on the day she was born each month

Weeks are different to months, so they're two different measurements and they won't line up as some months are longer than others. Use totally depends on context as well and what the age is being applied to. Week will be based on day of birth rolling week by week (e.g. every Thursday), whereas month will be date of birth (e.g. every 20th of each month or closest day).
