I don’t think it’s Americanised at all, it’s a lovely name! I’m slightly biased but I love the name Flora as I have my own Flo! X
I like Erin it seems pretty unique I am biased and love Lola though as that’s my 3 year olds name 💕🥰
We were going to call our baby Eryn if we had a girl (my partner is Irish) I think it’s a beautiful name but I’m also biased!
I'm 46 and went to school with a very English Erin If you love it, use it!
Love Erin! Don't associate it with America at all. We don't share our babies name until they're born so we don't get unwanted opinions 😊😂🤷♀️
Love the name Erin. Seren could maybe be a more “British” alternative.
My niece is called Erin, don’t think it’s Americanised at all 🤷🏻♀️
I had a friend at school called Erin who was born in the 90’s, it’s a beautiful name! And no associations on my part with America. if you love it, go for it! I am slightly biased, as my daughter is called Bonnie May Jean Bailey (she was born in May and both her great grandmothers had May and Jean for their names), so I will always favour the name Bonnie. But in actual fact, all your names are lovely! My husband and I found that, Bonnie was the name that just made us smile. We had push back from his parents, but once she was here, they fell in love with her and her name, she truly is a Bonnie girl! We found saying names out loud, with all the middle names and surname, writing them down to really help us decide. Some definitely flowed better than others! X
I love it! My 4 year old is Erin Ruby 🥰 and Rosie was on my shortlist for baby number 2!
Flora is adorable!
Uhh, what’s he on about? It’s an Irish name and also not uncommon in Scotland. Aeryn is an alternative.
Yes I do think of it being kind of American but that wouldn’t put me off, it’s a lovely name 😊
Only thing that matters is that you and your partner love it. My brother hated my youngest son’s name, did I still use it? Absolutely 👍
Really nice name! I hardly ever meet an Erin these days. I’m Canadian and so can’t comment on perceptions in the uk but I think of it as an Irish name not an American name,

Eirinn is Irish meaning Ireland, Erin is Welsh I think. Both are lovely. Grace is a nice English name.
I love the name Erin, I don't see it as Americanised at all! X
Erin is derived from the Gaelic Eirinn, which literally means ‘Ireland’. I’m from Ireland and still have only ever known one girl there with the name, I wouldn’t think of it as American… I also love the name Bonnie 🩷
@danielle thanks! I love Bonnie too but finding it hard to get my other half on board 😂
@Ruth yeah we're keeping quiet now! Choosing a name is stressful enough without strong family opinions!
@Katrina aw love Erin Ruby!
@Sorrel might add your name to the list 😍😍
@Jessica thank you, me too!
@incognito You’re welcome -Bonnie was the name of a friend’s older sister at school and she was impossibly pretty and really cool too - it really suited her - go with your favourite ultimately and don’t be swayed by others opinions - you’re growing the baby and giving birth to the baby so I think you should have the final say on her name - I suppose you do have to take your partner’s preferences into consideration but not your brothers or anyone else’s - and ultimately I do think the mum should get the final say :)- I think all the names you like are really lovely though
I know 2 erins! (Uk) and it's a lovely name. We have an Elodie which is a traditional English name xx
Erin brochavich from a movie, it does seem american and unconventional. Lola is pretty or went Enid
My friend has a daughter named Erin, she's 4. I must admit I mostly associate it with a character in an American drama, but i don't think it's too out there
@Lisa is it Blue Bloods? 😂
Erin is an Irish name - maybe that’s why your brother maybe associates it with America im not sure - I do to an extent agree with him - but I know an adult Erin - who is very ‘English’ if that makes sense - so i feel it’s entirely up to you and I’d say it’s your favourite chose it - love Bonnie as well -
