Has your baby got a place in nursery yet?

Struggling to find anywhere with availability for her when she's 9 months 😭

She has but I had to register her when I was 20 weeks pregnant as "baby". Changed all the details when she was born then. It's really hard to find spaces at that age because the rooms are so much smaller. Her nursery had a 15 month wait

Honestly so stressed that I won't find anywhere🤯

We got her a place at 2 weeks and they didn’t have availability on each day

Yeh I got on 2 waiting lists when I was about 15 weeks pregnant as I’d heard horror stories !

I signed up and paid the deposit while I was pregnant and the nursery we wanted wasn't available from the date we needed so we had to go with the second choice

The nursery I wanted was fully booked until next September so I had to reserve her a place very early in the pregnancy. Assume it’s to do with the government’s free childcare scheme.

I'm looking for a childminder but they all seem to be full!!

I registered him when I was pregnant at the same one my 3 year old goes to. They said they don't normally need to book that far in advance but I knew with the free hours extending in September 2025 they will be busy and that's when I want him to start.

I registered when I was pregnant as they’ll be going to the one my daughter is currently at. With the funded hours coming into play just before I go back to work I wasn’t risking not getting a place

We registered our little one when he was 6 weeks old because we didn’t want to miss out on a place. He’ll be going when he’s 10 months old and we knew that the rooms were smaller for children of that age. It’s really stressful but I’m sure you’ll find somewhere!

I registered when I was 20 weeks - one nursery near me didn’t have availability until Jan 2026 and this was in June 2024. With the free hours, it’s become increasingly popular so you have/had to be quick.
