Feeling discouraged

Hey mamas! I’ve been looking for a work from home job that lets me work when I can since October of last year. I’ve been studying data analysis and it would be a dream to get a job in this field and be able to afford to pay a nanny to watch my kids during the day while I work from home. However, like I said, I’ve been searching for a while so I’m to the point where a field outside of tech would be nice to have some income. If you have any leads I’d be so grateful. 🙏 I’m not interested in a phone job and I’d likely only be able to work at night after my baby goes down if pay isn’t enough to be able to pay a nanny.

That is tough. Have you looked into technical writing? A lot of work can be done asynchronously for grants, papers, etc.

@Ashley I would absolutely love something like that! I’ve looked on Upwork for roles like this, with no luck. Do you have any suggestions on where else I could look? 😊

Depending on your experience, background, credentials those factors play a big role. Tbh I would start with state or federal job searches, there are WFH options that you can filter by and there’s new postings pretty often. Start with your state’s hiring site if they have a specific portal and USAjobs.gov for state and federal. Could also look at direct federal hiring opportunities like through HHS (https://www.hhs.gov/careers/job-search). Indeed and LinkedIn might be better fits for exploring options for the type of work you want to do. Upwork and fiverr are fine but there’s a lot of competition and hasn’t been a great yield for me 🤷‍♀️ Nonprofits might be an area to explore too

What about executive assistant? There are remote EA roles from 100-150,000. The bigger tech companies pay the best

My husband started a digital marketing and it’s amazing and straight forward if your still looking. Happy to share more and show
