Pushing with an Epidural

Did you know you can try different pushing positions even with an epidural? 🙌 While the epidural might limit mobility, there are still several positions that can help you feel comfortable and aid in delivery! Here are a few to consider: ✨ Side-lying: Gently reduces pressure and helps with energy conservation. ✨ Semi-sitting or reclined: Gravity assists while keeping you supported. ✨ Hands-and-knees (modified): Helps with back pain and optimal baby positioning. ✨ Supported squatting: Opens the pelvis and uses gravity for a more effective push. Talk to your care team to explore your options and find the best position for you and your baby. Even with an epidural, you’ve got choices! 💪 Comment EXPECTING if you want to learn more about your choices and what you can do to prep for birth! #laboranddelivery #epiduralbirth #empoweredbirth #birthing #pregnancyjourney
