How old was your little one when they started nursery/ you went back to work?

My daughter will be 13 months and it feels too soon but I need to return to work.

13 months as well.

9 months

I chose 6-11 months because I bring him to work with me. If I didn’t I wouldn’t feel comfortable till after he turned a year old.

My LG will be around 9 months when I return to work

LG starts nursery 9 days before turning 1, I return to work 2 days before she turns 1.

11 months with both. Because I couldn't have maternity for longer.

11 months both times

My eldest was 2 years when she started nursery. I had a work from home job from when she was 18months, then I changed jobs once she started at the school nursery shortly after she turned 3. I was actually pregnant when I started my current job🫣 As my husband shared my maternity leave, I returned to work when my youngest was 7.5months old. Thankfully for me my husband works in education, which means that my youngest is only at nursery during term time.

First at 34 months, 2nd at 32 months. Was grateful enough to have my mum help out up until then.

@Kianna that's amazing that u can do that! I wish my job would allow me to😔

@Kee that's amazing! I would love to stay off but unfortunately we just can't afford it

Nearly a year, then 9 months

My eldest was 9 months when I went back to work and my mum had him so he started nursery around 1 I think my little girl started last week at 11 months old I go back to work on Thursday

Mine was 6 months, and told myself for next one, that 6 months is too early... I think 9 months / a year is good amount.. regards sanity and money situation too xx (P.s. i have no family to support so sadly didn't have this option)

@Katie yeah I agree, I just couldn't bare to send her any earlier than 1yr so will just be tight on money for a while. I also have no family support as they all work full time too xx

9 months, wish I could have afforded a year

I'm back at work and my son is 5 months. If you need to return, don't feel guilty. 13 months is longer than lots spend at home with their little ones. Don't feel bad x

My daughter will be 9 months and going 4days a week. I’m dreading it but have no other option as I will be returning full time xx

My little boy will be 8.5 months when i go back to work, he was going to go to nursery but my auntie has actually said he will have him for me because it gives her the fear thinking of him at nursery and not being able to talk etc! Been a life saver as i had bad anxiety of him going due to working ins. nursery that wasn't very good before! I am dropping my hours only working monday to thursday 9-2pm and will literally be for 3 months and then back on maternity again 🤣 so by the time he does need to go to nursery he'll be nearly 2 but she's said she'll have him then aswell so he isn't going until the september after he turns 2. x

We had either a family member babysit or a coworkers wife babysitting but my first I went back to work at 8 weeks and my second at 2 weeks

10 months x
