I’m having an elective c section at 37 weeks with twins (all being well) and my partner has decided it’s a good idea to go to a gig which is just over an hour away, 1.5 weeks before the due date. Would anyone else be pissed off?

Or am I being hormonal and dramatic? 😅

Not hormonal or dramatic, asshole move from him. My wife works away a lot and couldn’t understand why I’m annoyed at her flying away after 34 weeks !

I think so too! I really don’t get his logic at all, he’s basing things on the ‘official due date’ forgetting most twins come around 36/37 week 🥲

My husband had a week of AL booked before my planned csection for us to rest and do the final bits. My waters broke about 2 hrs after he got home at 35+6. Emergency csection and they were born 3hrs later. If it was essential for him to go or even a once in a lifetime like a family wedding, fair enough. But he (and definitely you) will never forgive him if he misses it.

Our twins were born during Covid and my partner decided to go to his mums for the weekend (when they had the zones and Covid was rife) he ended up catching Covid and missed the birth of his children 🙈

Yeah I definitely wouldn’t be happy with this! My husband had a gig booked in for mid June… I’m not due until August (unless the twins are early) and he has cancelled his plans just in case something happened! It’s literally not worth it, I would just recommend trying to have a conversation with him so that he understands the risks of going x
