Ask about the official website and speak to an actual person and ask if they communicate with the signal app.
I google if the company is legit

No one is going to ask how to pay you until you get an offer letter. Also try a simple google search, if you have no results.. that’s probably a good indicator. Also also, if you can, try to apply on company sites under “careers” or “jobs”, usually at the very bottom of the page.
Trust pilot and I think there’s a gov website to search for legit companies
