Mine told me I couldn’t eat 2 hours before but I could drink water
My OB said you can eat, just try to eat high protein foods. I’ve also read that you are supposed to go about your diet as normal to get the best results
I'm starting to wonder if there are different tests that work in different ways. I never fasted in the past, but this one told me for 4 hours and it's supposed to go in the morning, so I'm essentially fasting all night. Then I see other people saying everything from not at all or varying amounts of time.
I didn’t fast for the one hour test, which was a last min request from my OB and I ended up one point over the limit. Ended up having to do the 3 hour test and was told to fast for that so I couldn’t eat anything after 7pm the night before until after my test. My test was 7am meaning I couldn’t eat until all the blood draws were completed at 10.30am. Needless to say but I was hangry!
How many hours away is it? Drink some water.. if anything you'll probably just retest if needed
I always fast before a test.
I ate before mine and passed it so it really depends.
My doctor told me to fast one hour before the appointment! I could eat in the morning if I wanted to!
