I just posted waffles I made for my LO this weekend. Although she eats meats in other dishes I want to really experiment with ways to give her foods. We noticed my girl loves to chew on some brown bread (maybe for teething or just the texture). So tried these meat based waffles. I didn’t have the cinammon or vanilla. So made tonight attempt at it kind of free guessing the ingredient estimates. (Used about third 450g pack organic beef mince, half a banana, one egg, blended it in blender. Then put it in waffle machine.
We are stuff with breakfast stuff over here .... I tried making my own homemade version and he told me I was bold for giving him the wrong food for dinner. Refused to eat it. Send it to daycare and he said the muffins were his favorite and she said all the kids loved the muffins!!! He had taken bites of ham, pork, chicken, hamburger, steak and even venison only a few bites and he's and I will say it's mostly holiday occasionals he will try. Big events stuff but normal everyday is the same thing. With some Mac and cheese and of course chicken nuggets as long as they are from a fast food place.
My kid does best with breaded meats or burgers/hotdogs in the buns. Won't eat just hamburger or hotdog, but if he can take a bite of a burger or hotdog himself he'll eat it that way. Also pizza toppings! His favourite is mushroom chicken pizza.
Have you tried homemade chicken nuggets? You can freeze the meat mix and use a small cookie cutter to make them into shapes. My daughter likes all meat but her favorite is pork breakfast sausage links without the casing. She goes crazy for plain ole steak drenched in butter too.
My son loves sausage and fridge raiders chicken bites
Ours barely ate any meat until we started him on supplements after finding out he was low in iron. Now he eats loads of it! Could be something to consider?
I had to blend my sons up into the sauce so it no longer existed
