I had SPD with my first and I was mainly in bed at the end, and with my second (from as early as 12 weeks this time) but I had to keep moving more for school runs family life etc but it was painful First birth natural no pain relief (not by choice lol) , all symptoms disappeared straight after birth Second birth c section symptoms disappeared just as quick So for me , the type of birth didn’t make a difference I don’t believe SPD is a reason to have an earlier induction but you’re best speaking to the hospital about that. With regards to physio and the pelvis find another lady, a women’s health physio who deals with this day in day out. They usually give you various options and things that can help based on what works for you rather than the advice you were given which seems a bit extreme x
Speak to your midwife who should be more up to date. PGP (any pelvic pain including SPD) is not caused by hormones so there is absolutely no evidence that breastfeeding will prolong pain or make it worse. To be honest I went from immobile and housebound to mobile but uncomfortable after appropriate treatment. Then I gave birth naturally at home, no epidural, no induction, no c section. The pain improved immediately after birth and continuing my exercises and seeing my physio for a little bit afterwards I now very rarely have any pain and what I do get is usually because I pushed my body too hard in exercise classes
