What does this name sound like to u?
My baby is 6 months old and I’m not sure if there name sounds like a girl name as he’s a boy is name is Eeli but people think it’s Ellie,boy name or girl name

It would take me a minute, especially if the child wasn't in front of me because I know a lot of girls name Eli (as the girl Ellie), either as their name or nick name. After I knew it was a boy I'd understand E-lye as a pronunciation. But you may have to initially tell people sometimes, especially if they are in a hurry with the name.
It looks like a girl name but I can tell it’s Eli
For some reason, I would pronounce it Eel-ee. Not Eli. Why not just spell it, Eli?
@Hannah that's how I would pronounce it too. I wouldn't think Ellie but I would think it's pronounced different than Eli.
