Same with my partner. I have to tell him bathe our son, give him a snack, play with him. He's rarely home due to work but when he is he just wants to read and lay in bed. We shouldn't have to tell him to contribute but it's the sad reality we live in now
Tell him if he doesn't buck his ideas up and become a parent to his child he's gone, because it's not healthy for you and it's not healthy for the baby
Tell me about it, I’ll understand if he works but my boyfriend doesn’t he so used to being babied by mummy all the time
@Lilly i even think if they work they should still help, i get its tiring but even just changing a nappy or doing a feed that isn’t alot, we’re at home all day everyday dealing with baby just a little bit of help wouldn’t go unnoticed i dont think x
I was just coming to say this. Even work doesn’t excuse you from not helping with the baby.. do you two talk about this? Does he know it’s a issue for you?
@Ariyana yeah he just always says he’s tired, but will come home he’ll want his dinner cooked for him, play the ps5, go on his phone then go to bed. baby is currently combi feeding so formula and breastfed and if he has baby and he’s crying instead of making him a bottle he’ll give him to me and say put him on your boob
That’s ridiculous, I would definitely tell him to pick up his slack or move along. You need a PARTNER

Yes if you need to tell him to take care of his child it’s a problem. I hope he starts helping you, I’m sorry you’re going through this.
