taxes??? anyone did doordash? i I actually have a serious question.

So I was putting on my text information, and I like my numbers before I put in my 1089 but now with my 1099 it cut out a lot what I get in trouble if I didn’t put my DoorDash on my taxes just for this year, and I put it on next year?

If you made over 14,600 you have to file your taxes and door dash income. Look to see if you qualify for the Earned Income Credit and write off expenses like your car. Any repairs, gas, or maintenance can give you a greater return.

I put it last year even when I made only like $600. I think you are supposed to claim it no matter what, but definitely if you make over like $12,000

I’ve never done taxes on doordash income

It depends on your filing status if you are required to file. Single is $14,600 Married filing jointly combined income of $29,200 Married filing separately $5 Head of Household $21,900 If you do file you can claim business deductions such as car expenses, gas, phone bill, mileage, etc. This reduces your taxable income and subsequently the taxes you'll owe. I do bookkeeping and tax preparation. If you have any other questions let me know I'll help as much as I can 😊.

I've done Doordash, Instacart, and Shipt for years.
