Best exercises for 2nd trimester?

My family tells me to take it easy but I know I should exercise. Anytime a little more active I get bad hip/low back pain. And pain in my lower abdomen like under my belly. Is that normal? Should I be moving more and deal with the pain? My BMI was already high before pregnancy and I’m trying to keep my weight down.

walking! Even walking in the swimming pool 👌 but please don't over do it and don't cut out calories, you are growing a baby. You can switch out chocolate for an apple etc but please don't skip meals
