@Clara that's great how did you get into fashion designing? Did you go to university and have alot of experience?
Hi, I work for myself from home! So I had no choice really, I left my job when 6 months pregnant because of a pregnancy discrimination case so whilst I was on ‘maternity’ leave I decided I HAD to learn new skills so I could work for myself & not have the pressure of finding another job! I already worked in the digital space so knew that’s the way forward, so I bought a few online courses, learnt new skills like content creation, branding & marketing, the different platforms and about their algorithms, sales skills etc in nap time. Now I help other women and lots of mums use those skills to launch their own businesses. There’s lots of ways to have multiple revenue streams too which I like. Personally I think skills like I’ve learnt can be taken into SO many businesses, one mum has a massage therapy business but didn’t have the social media skills to scale! Happy to chat if you want to! ✨🫶🏻
@Steamtrane Family yes I went to university and had industry experience. I was already working for myself too 4yrs prior to having a baby so learnt a lot of additional skills. Like Sarah said, you have to learn new skills when working for yourself and it's so true! I also dabble in some social media work, even built websites for people but my main income is through my fashion design 🌸
@Sarah be great to know more about this ✨
@Steamtrane Family of course! Do you want to send me a dm? X
@Sarah yes please x
I am working from home as a Fashion Designer. Income is really good but sporadic so I need to be very good at money management. I help mainly start ups and some larger businesses, most of my clients are via word of mouth. I have 17 yrs experience in this area. My other businesses are handmade products and print on demand. All I had started before having a baby though.
