How long do you pump for?

I am EBF and pumping to have some extra milk in bottles for my husband to use and as a top up. So I usually breastfeed first and then pump after. I don't pump every time I breastfeed... I tend to pump at least twice a day and one time at night if I can be bothered (I prioritised sleep and breastfeeding my baby at night). I am using the Medela hand free pump and I usually pump for 30 minutes at L9 Level. After a feed I make between 50/80 ml per boob, if I pump before a feed I can make 260 ml even. So I am not pumping to increase supply (which was the goal when the baby was born) but more to build a stash if you will. What do you do? How long do you pump for? I feel 30 mins can be a long time...

I pump until ive got my desired amount, I do 3oz per boob xx

If I'm pumping after my baby has fed I pump for 20 minutes but that is because she feeds for 5 minutes each side when breastfeed but that is because I pump for 27 minutes every 3 hours usually

Like you EBF but li love the freedom the odd bottle can give you in terms of others doing a feed. I pump for 20mins every evening at around 9 and get around 5/6oz from both breasts combined. Weirdly I get LOADS more with the manual pump. Used to have a hands free one with my first and it too twice as long and didn’t produce as much.

Thank you all XX @Katie that's really interesting that you used to get more with the manual one. I would have never thought
