Free nursery hours for 9 month old

Hey! Does anyone know if the free childcare in nursery's is applicable for 9 month old in Scotland? I'm just not sure at all and if it does apply how many hours a week does that end up working out to be. I'm just lost with it all trying to figure out childcare before returning to work.

We don't get it in Scotland unfortunately 🙁x

Free hours don't kick in until after they turn 3 years old. You can get earlier placements for certain criteria but I don't know if they start at a certain age?

Not applicable in Scotland unfortunately 🙁 This government website will take you through what is available according to your circumstances- https://www.childcarechoices.gov.uk/

No you need to pay full whack up until the term after your child turns 3. In England the 15 hours are increasing to 30 from September next year meaning working families will be even worse off than they already are under our current government. I wrote to MSPs, visited opposition parties to see if they could do anything etc and it’s just swept under the rug. I’ve given up as my child will be turning 3 in May. We’ve been forking out over £1200 per month in childcare since February 2023! X
