Moses basket

Same situation here by little boy is 10 weeks and nearly fills it top to toe he’s very long!

@Laura I just don’t want to order a next to me and they be the same size, 😂

our 8 week old started outgrowing her moses basket we ended up getting a graco next to me more than enough room

My first was in his next to me until he was about 4/5 months old. Then I had his cot in my room and then moved him to his room. Could you try a next to me? Or is your room big enough to have the cot in too?

@Danielle that’s great! I’ll look into next to mes, cause I stupidly got her a big cot for her nursery so can’t fit it in our room 😂😭

My little one started to look a little squished in his next to me cot at 4 months so I put him to bed in his own room and his big cot .. he’s got so much room now! X

We have a next to me and it’s a much better size than the moses when they get that bit bigger, if he outgrows it we plan to put the big cot in our room but i have seen others say they used a travel cot if it was only going to be for an extra month or two

@Bella yes that's the one x it pulls down in the middle which means you can do it with one hand - most you have to pull both sides down very awkward if you're holding a baby

Our boy is the same. 11 weeks and only a cm or two left in the Moses basket. We have a cot bed in his room which isn’t practical to move in to our room but we’re not ready to let him sleep alone. I was gifted a travel cot with a newborn insert so we plan to use that rather than a next to me as there’s more room to grow and we don’t want to buy another bed that we’ll only use for a few months. We’ve used the travel cot at my folks before so know it’s sturdy enough but bought a better mattress as the one with it isn’t suitable for regular use.

My baby is 8 weeks old and 99th centile for height so we are already not using our Moses basket 🫣 My HV said possibly a travel cot, as they are bigger and also something we will probably use going forwards too!

Moses baskets are small compared to standard next to me cribs

@Bella FB marketplace are a good place to go for a next to me! They go for about 40 quid instead of 130 and a new mattress is really easy to come by on Amazon for like 15 quid.

We have the tutti bambini cozee air as it was slightly bigger for a next to me. My LB is 15lb 13oz now, on the 91st centile for height too and has plenty of room left in his! But maybe a travel cot or something would be better for long term?
