We put a waterproof mat under his high chair to catch any food that drops, but my little one is quite mischievous—he throws food even further and makes a mess on the floor. It's frustrating! Does your child use a spoon or fork? Mine still prefers using his hands. I've tried giving him a spoon or fork, but he just plays with the food instead of eating it.
@Megan I do have these for them and STILL ends up on the floor. But hearing you say it lasts up to 3 years makes me feel better
@Melody they both prefer eating with their hands(twins) we have started practicing with utensils a lot more than usual.
Have you heard of a catchy? Lifesaver for me as our high chair has to be in the living room so protects our nice rug!
I’m using these. Limits the mess to hands and face. It’s coverall is the key word. Cause it attaches to the high chair. It’s harder to use with plates and bowls. But that’s not a deal breaker for me. I remember it being messy until 2.5 or 3 years. But it also took a lot of modeling and practice. https://a.co/d/6n7stGO
