Calpol plug in with dogs in the next room??

I’ve googled and it says it’s not safe but I’ve always used Vicks vapour rub around my dogs but now both my babies are unwell and want to use the plug in for the room. Dogs will be in the next room but it’s open plan so unshod to shut the door. Has anyone else used plug ins around dogs? I don’t know what else to do 😩

I think it’s purely because they haven’t tested the plug in’s / Vicks on dogs so can’t be sure if it’s safe. We’ve used them with dogs in the house, but albeit they’re downstairs and the plug in’s/vicks is upstairs. Have you got any doors you can push to just for a few days to keep the dogs out of harms way just in case?

I have a Vicks vapour plug in and that’s been plugged in and my doggies sleep in the same room as us and they are fine. I didn’t even think about this tbh :/

@Kira yea I get that. As I said I’ve used Vicks vapour rub for years I just worry because it’s in the air. Unfortunately I have nothing that I could use, they’re kept separate with stair gates so won’t open them at all but they’re in the next room. Will just try keep it ventilated. I hate viruses 😭

Yes it’s fine if they’re not in the same room

@Saffron probably better you didn’t think, I’m probably too much of a worry pants 😂

@Dee thank you. Just worried because it’s open plan 😂

The plug in contains lavender I’m sure, which is toxic to dogs

I’ve used it and my dog was completely fine

I've not used any since we've had our pooch as just don't know how she will be or any long term effects. Not worth the risk

As they contain lavender they say not to use them with pets around but only incase they eat/chew the plug in patch
