@Audrey I laid down at 10 and didn't wake up until 1.
Same, had mine on Tuesday and felt fine for awhile but by afternoon started feeling cruddy. Felt so drained and awful the rest of the night I kept checking my temp thinking I might be sick, and still felt worn down the next morning. Good news was that I passed! Just slightly anemic.
I was exhausted after mine so I would say sleep it off
I had mine yesterday and I felt like actual garbage. My result came back 142 so now I’ll have to retake it next week with 100g sugar drink and 3 pokes, fml!! Feel better friend the drink is not easy
I got a migraine after my test basically came home and slept all day i also didn’t feel good the rest of the day but sleeping helped with that
@Angie you should just get a glucometer and do the testing four times a day at home not sure if it’s just for a week but I plan on doing it till I see her again in two weeks. I just barely failed my one hour and told her there was no possible way I could survive doing the 3 hour with that much sugar at once no eating and another all day migraine. I’m on my third day of testing and everything has been normal it’s worth talking to your OB about trying. I honestly wish I had done this instead of the one hour in the first place
I actually felt normal the rest of the day after my test. I didn’t drink the standard glucose drink though. I opted for the “Fresh Test.” It has better ingredients in it. I also had a high protein breakfast and no carbs before my test. I think these two things helped me feel better than I would have otherwise. Just sharing my experience in case anyone wants to consider the Fresh Test for a future pregnancy! And I’ve heard eating a high protein breakfast can help too.
@Bryar thanks friend~ will speak to the OB about this. Agreed there’s no way I can deal with this again it was awful!! Happy everything for you has been normal!
@Audrey I know I'm anemic so that could be why I'm feeling this way
@Angie of course I feel they should openly give us this choice to begin with. Because who honestly drinks like a whole soda in 5 minutes 🤦🏻♀️ that’s just too much sugar too fast and then the 100 that’s just ridiculous at that point 😩 but I hope that your OB agrees to it and it works out for you too 🫶🏼 add lots of protein to your diet and veggies that’s what I’ve done and it’s been on the lower side even after eating and there are sugar free keto ice cream and they are actually pretty good! If you still need a sweet treat
@Jessica they should really talk about these things with us 😩 I worked in an OB clinic a few years ago and basically if you don’t know about something we don’t bother offering it. It should be standard practice to lay out all of our options but glad it worked out for you 🫶🏼
@Allison Did you fast for yours? I did this time, while I didn't my last 2 pregnancies and didn't have any issue. My levels are just barely low and my nurse husband looked at them and was like "meh, they're not that bad" like that shouldn't really have had an effect.
@Audrey yes
What did it involve? Ours was just pricking your finger twice and having a glucose drink?

I only had one blood draw, after the drink. They were drawing blood for other tests too, but they took 3 vials.
@Audrey same. They did 3 vials because they were running another full lab on me
I had my eighth one the other day (this is my sixth child and have had previous gd so they make me take two now) I feel nauseous and tired every single time.
I had mine yesterday and felt the same way i just layed down the rest of the day honestly
