BLW

Anyone else feel defeated by blw? Or weaning in general! And all these TikTok babies that seem to eat a full plate for breakfast lunch and dinner using their own utensils at like 2 months old (exaggeration but you get what I mean) đŸ€Ł The mess, the recipes they never eat, all the extra shopping.. just for them to only eat Greek yoghurt and fruit purĂ©es after months of trying đŸ„Č And still breastfeeding full time with bottle refusal

Ignore the online people. As my HV said, how many takes has it taken to get things to look perfect? Do we see their floor after all of this? I bet you, they've not eaten it all. My LG loves food, but will refuse purĂ©es but then the next day love them. She's made faces and refused certain things after a while, but after a few tries (different days, spaced out) she eventually takes them (although, she is so indecisive, she just doesn't take things sometimes and I genuinely don't know why 😅đŸ„Č)

Yeah I need of just keep telling myself that and that she’ll get there eventually! Oh yeah we’re the same has 1 good day full of eating (purĂ©es ofc) and then goes back to refusing everything for the next few days! Does it take a while to get through a feed as well? Takes us at least 30 mins of trying and by the end she would have only had 3/4 spoons 🙃

I totally understand, I find it so frustrating and I get myself worked up when my 6 & 1/2 month old won’t even open his mouth for a purĂ©ed pouch. How can he get used to it if he doesn’t try it?! It’s even more disheartening when like you say tik tok babies are smashing it. But we just have to remind ourselves that all babies are different and not everything you see online is gospel!

@Bethany omg yeah the not even wanting to trying gets me as well!! How do you even know you don’t like it?! 😂 I know I know it’s just hard sometimes when you come across that stuff and see a baby fully using a spoon to feed themselves and yours won’t even open their mouth😂
